How the domain transfer works

How can I transfer my domain to Green?
In most cases, you will need a transfer code to enable you to switch your domain from your current provider or registrar to the new provider. This code is also called the AuthCode, Transfer Authorization Code or TransAuthCode.
Enter your reserved domain name in the domain checker. “Unavailable” or similar will correctly appear after your domain name. Click on “Transfer”, enter the transfer code you have received and click on “Transfer” again. Immediately after this step, if you so wish, you can select a suitable web hosting package and then complete your order. Green will take care of migrating your registered domain.

How long do I need to allow for the transfer of my domain?
Depending on the domain extension, this can take up to a few days – for example, if you want to transfer a .com domain. A .ch domain can usually be transferred within a few hours. You’ll be notified by email as soon as the transfer has finished.
